Halt Arpaio's racist attacks, protest Wells Fargo in San Francisco

Piqueteo y conferencia de Prensa
En frente de la Oficina National del Banco Wells Fargo!!

Unase para exigir que el Banco Wells Fargo pare de hospedar al Sheriff del Condado de Maricopa,
Quien aterrroriza a las comunidades migrantes en Arizona

Qué: Conferencia de Prensa y Piqueteo de la Oficina Nacional de Wells Fargo, por el apoyo de la Compania al Sheriff de Arizona quien trabaja con la Migra y deporta a los migrantes.

Cuándo: Jueves, Septiembre 18, empezando a las 11:30 a.m.

Dónde: Oficina Nacional de Wells Fargo, 130 Sansome St., San Francisco.

Varias organizaciones del Area de la Bahia fueron contactadas por el Centro de Jornaleros de Phoenix (Casa Mazahuali) y por la Red Nacional de Jornaleros (NDLON), pidiendo que organizaramos una acción de solidaridad en frente de la Oficina Nacional del Banco de Wells Fargo, en San Francisco.

Wells Fargo le renta espacio de oficina al Sheriff del Condado de Maricopa, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, quien ha estado conduciendo una campaña de terror contra Latinos, inspirando odio y racismo, y creando condiciones para una crisis de derechos humanos en Arizona.

Como dijo un activista, "”Arizona se ha convertido para el movimiento por los derechos de los inmigrantes lo que fue Mississippi para el Movimiento por los Derechos Civiles de los Afro-Americanos.”

Las acciones del Sheriff Arpaio incluyen:
-- Removiendo físicamente a los migrantes de Phoenix.
-- Acusando a los migrantes indocumentados de felonías, incluyendo la “co-conspiracion”
-- Arrestando y deportando a cientos de migrantes.
-- Usando tácticas de miedo e intimidación en contra de los residentes latinos del Condado de Maricopa.
-- Colaborando con la Migra para deportar a migrantes.
-- Parando conductores Latinos sin razón.
-- Enfocandose en jornaleros Latinos.

Muchas organizaciones locales y nacionales se han juntado en Phoenix y están organizando manifestaciones de largo plazo en frente del Banco Wells Fargo de Phoenix.

No podemos tolerar que una compañía basada en San Francisco siga con tales violaciones en contra de nuestra comunidad!

Picket Line & Press Conference
In front of the Wells Fargo Bank Offices!!

Unite to demand that the Wells Fargo Bank stop renting space to the Maricopa County Sheriff,
Who Is Terrorizing Migrant Communities in Arizona!

What: Press conference and Picket Line in front of the national headquarters of the Wells Fargo Bank, for supporting the Arizona Sheriff who works with the Migra/immigration police and deports migrants.

When: Thursday, September 18, starting at 11:30 am.

Where: At the National Offices of the Wells Fargo Bank, located 130 Sansome Street in San Francisco.

Several organizations in the Bay Area, were contacted by the Macehualli Day Laborer Center in Phoenix and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), asking that we organize a solidarity action in front of the national offices of the Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco

Wells Fargo Bank rents office space to the notorious Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has been conducting a campaign of terror against Latinos, fanning hate and racism, and creating conditions for a human rights crisis in Arizona.

As an activist said, "Arizona has become for the immigrant rights movement what Mississippi represented for African Americans in the Civil Rights Movement.”

Sheriff Arpaio’s actions include:
-- Physically removing migrants from Phoenix.
-- Charging the undocumented with felonies, including “co-conspiracy;”
-- Arresting and deporting hundreds of migrantes.
-- Using fear and intimidation tactics against residents of Maricopa County.
-- Collaborating with the immigration police, the Migra, to deport migrants.
-- Stopping Latino drivers without cause.
-- Focusing on Latino day laborers.

Many local and national organizations have been coming to Phoenix and have been organizing protests and supporting the long-range campaign in front of Wells Fargo there. We cannot tolerate a company that is based in San Francisco to continue supporting such violations against out community!
