The struggle of the indigenous peoples of Palawan against mining corporations is being impaired by highly manipulative processes involving both the government appointed National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and MacroAsia Corporation (MAC), using “fake tribal leaders” to engineer a false consensus'.
Nine Palawan community leaders from Brooke's Point just arrived in Manila to say that they are the authentic indigenous people's representatives from Brooke’s Point, Palawan – a Municipality blessed with lush forest now being threatened by mining applications.
